I loved Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark as a kid. Alvin Schwartz’ retellings and Stephen Gammell’s bonechilling drawings kept me hypnotized. The excitement and fun of a good scary story has kept these books popular for generations.

This was his debut novel, and it tells a thrilling story of four shinobi during the Warring States period of Japan. Kyle had a promising talent and while we will never be able to find out how this series ends, we can enjoy the writing he did leave behind.
